Country of origin: Netherlands Location: Dordrecht, South Holland Formed in: 1996 Genre: Gothic/Doom Metal Pleasing, and melodic gothic doom metal, with intermittent blasts of blackish speed. Sentient weaves their influences (My Dying Bride, Cradle Of Filth, and Anathema) together seamlessly, and produce enjoyable gothic doom metal, with lots of atmosphere. A worthy listen to fans of a more relaxed, and romantic style of doom metal. Use both male and female vocals. Songs off the first demo were written by the band under the name Al-Akhirah, however the demo itself was released under the Sentient band name.
