In the founding year she won the newcomer festival of the Sternenzeltverein Bad Reichenhall. In mid-2000, the debut album The Singing Fish was recorded at the Planet Orange Studios in Munich under the leadership of Martin Faulwasser. This album helped Jaywalk to some appearances in the opening act of Liquido, J.B.O., Die Springer and the Lemonbabies. Through The Singing Fish, the Berchtesgaden band reached the 3rd place of the Bavarian Rock & Pop Prize and were able to play their songs live at the German Rock & Pop Prize in Bonn. In 2005, the new album Dismissed was recorded. Phil Seidl, who had already produced several well-known newcomer bands such as Flyswatter and The Blackout Argument, became producer of Jaywalk. In May 2007, Jaywalk were able to take the 1st place of the corresponding year for the 10th anniversary of the Xtra-Ordinary Sampler of the Salzburg Rockhouse by a vote organized in advance with three songs. In the overall ranking of the ten years, the band reached the places four to six. In 2011, the third album The Chains of Ignorance was recorded with new band members under the leadership of Max Walch in the home rehearsal room. In 2012 Jaywalk received the award "Best of Alternative Album 2012" at the German Rock & Pop Award for this album.
