Michal Sapir

A musician, writer and translator based in London and Tel Aviv. Michal Sapir was born in New York in 1966 when her parents were in the city for her father, Amos Sapir, son of Pinchas Sapir, the Minister of Finance at the time, to study for his doctorate in economics. When she was one year old, her parents returned to Israel, for the Six Days War, and her father was seriously injured in the war and stopped his doctoral studies. She grew up in the Afka neighborhood in Tel Aviv.
