Robin Hird

British guitarist, from north-eastern England, who co-founded Mandrake (later to be called Bullfrog) with drummer Michael Simons. He recruited a fellow former pupil of the same secondary school, Steve Thompson (11), who in-turn recruited the singer Michael Glancy. He remained with the band until their demise in 1975.
