Apichat Pakwan is a Thai-Dutch music collective put together by Olivier Schreuder, an Amsterdam-based musician, DJ & producer. Together they make what they call Esantronics - a hybrid approach to blending molam (folkmusic of the ethnic Lao, of whom the largest population is living in Isan, another name for Northeast-Thailand), dub, hiphop & electro. The band has toured extensively in in Southeast Asia & Europe, with highlights playing shows at the Amsterdam Roots Festival (NL), Fusion Festival (Germany), World Experience Festival (Romania), Na Fir Bolg Festival (Belgium), Thailand Grand Festival in The Hague (NL), Isan Creative Festival in Khon Kaen, the Jim Thompson's Molam Bus Stage at the Jai Thep Festival in Chiang Mai (Thailand). Since 2016 they have released a couple of singles, an EP and their debut album Esantronics in 2019 which received critical international acclaim.
