Peter Smith (40)

British tuba classical player. Born in Oldham, England. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music. He first worked on a freelance basis with many orchestras and ensembles such as the [a835546], London Brass, the London Sinfonietta and The London Symphony Orchestra. He has been Principal Tuba of the Philharmonia Orchestra since May 2008. He is also co-founder of the Alberti Brass Quintet and the Philharmonia Brass. Professor of Tuba at the Royal College of Music, London.
