Ibex Band

Ethiopian band, led by [a192085]. The band got formed from the core of the Soul Ekos Band. The first band line-up included international musicians such as Zimbabwean guitarist Andrew Wilson and vocalist and percussionist Ismail Jingo who had to leave the country in the early 1970s. They got replaced by [a6039805], Girma Tchibsa and [a3822626] for the second Ibex line-up. The band disbanded 1979 when most of the musicians flew to Sudan due to civil war and the comunist Derg regime.
