Howard Miers

Cajun and country guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. In the 1940s Miers played with Nathan Abshire And The Pinegrove Playboys and [a1150616]. He was a member of Lionel Cormier & The Sundown Playboys from 1951 into the late 1950s. In the 1960s he formed a group called the Rambling Playboys with his brother Jake Mier. Besides playing Cajun music he was known to sing country music, even living for a while in North Louisiana and playing on the Louisiana Hayride with several groups.
