Tax scam releases of Roy Porter’s music. American jazz drummer, born July 30, 1923, Walsenburg, Colorado, died January 25, 1998, Los Angeles, USA. Most famous for his work with Roy Porter Sound Machine. In the late 1960s Roy Porter began working with a trio which he called Roy Porter Sounds. He later changed it to Roy Porter Sound Machine when he began to add more horns and other instruments. He released two albums under Roy Porter Sound Machine as well as a handful of 45rpm singles. Porter retired from performing in 1978 on health grounds and passed away on 25 January 1998. 1984's Roy Porter - In A Groove compilation LP features Roy Porter Sound Machine material as well.
