Ana Miranda

Ana Maria Nóbrega Miranda (Fortaleza, 1951) is a Brazilian novelist and actress. He was born in Fortaleza, Ceará and grew up in Rio and Brasília. From 1969 she moved to Rio de Janeiro and in 2001 moved to São Paulo. She worked in films of the new Brazilian cinema between 1971 and 1979 while married to Arduino Colasanti (1970-1972) and Jards Macalé (1974-1977). She directed the Institute of Arts of Funarte and was editor-chief of this institution, between 1977 and 1983. She received training in the area of plastic arts, attending the Central Institute of Arts of the University of Brasilia. And she was a draftsman, illustrating the covers of hers books. She had a literary background with the writer Rubem Fonseca, between 1979 and 1989. In 2006 she returned to live in Ceará.
