Edo Bumba

Born in Congo and came to Sweden in 1987. Educated at the Gothenburg Academy of Music. Edo Bumba is frequently hired as a musician, choir leader, percussionist, dancer, composer and producer. He teaches dance, rhythm and choir singing for both children and adults. Edo also tours with the groups Amani, Amani mini, Edo Bumba Band and Sauti Sol, Afrotronics and Star for life and gives many concerts and workshops around the Nordics. In 1997, Edo Bumba received the Royal Academy of Music's pedagogical award, because he "with his solid competence in the African music tradition and with an infectious enthusiasm, in his business built bridges of understanding and musical experiences between Swedish and African".
