Dialecto was born in May 2001, when Chad Valdés and Enrique Santamaría decided to create a new band and start writing and playing their own music. They began composing songs that ranged from Pop, Rock, and Electronic music. Their strongest influences included Depeche Mode, New Order, Gustavo Cerati and Aleks Syntek. After a month of song writing, they decided to enter the studio to record their debut album. For this work, they chose Insomnio Studio, whose owner and recording engineer was Salo Shamah, keyboardist from Océano, and [a2159299] for his experience in the electronic pop genre. Chad and Enrique invited renowned musicians from Panama to participate in the recording of the album, such as Nando López (La Verónica), José Manuel Correa (Los 33), [a3315605], and Enrique Santamaría. Sometimes in the studio sessions and live all drums were played by the late Ricardo Isaza a full member of the band since 2004 and part of the recording line-up on the third album called Algo Tridimensional.
