Lennart Forsén

Swedish opera singer (bass), born November 12, 1959. He studied at the Stockholm Opera Academy and the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and is employed at the Royal Opera in Stockholm. He made his debut at the 1986 Opera as the Archbishop of Tchaikovsky's Jeanne D’arc. His roles there include King Marke in Tristan and Isolde, Daland in The Flying Dutchman, the Commander in Don Giovanni, Sarastro in The Magic Flute, Sparafucile in Rigoletto and Basilio in The Barber in Seville. Other stages where he has also been active are, for example, the Gothenburg Opera, Malmö Opera, Dalhalla, the Folk Opera in Stockholm, the Vadstena Academy, the operas in Leipzig, Düsseldorf and Duisburg, Helsinki, Frankfurt and Hanover and the Salzburg Festival.
