Alexandre Doré is French-Canadian DJ/Producer Funken, a 90’s video game theme songs freak going places around the globe. Taking both Indonesia and the world by storm with his personal productions, his blend of jazzy j-pop music and jersey club sounds is swirling listeners into a neon vibes universe. After years experimenting different sounds with his former artist name, he was able to become a local opening act for headliners like Downlink, Designer Drugs, Clockwork (RL Grime), Dooze Jackers (Snails), Botnek, and many more. Featuring at multiple festivals such as Woodstock en Beauce, îleSoniq, Valhalla Sound Circus, Skins Party and a lot more, he has covered the US, Canada and Indonesia with ease. Gaining attention and signing on labels like Dim Mak Records (Steve Aoki's), Simma Records (Low Steppa’s) among many others, he got enough background and maturity to start his new close to heart project Funken in late 2017. In 2018, his self-released debut singles ‘Homeworlds’ & ‘Bubblegum Bliss’ reached over 25,000 listens around the web, establishing his style on the ground over that year. Funken’s sound is best described as a combination of old school FM synthesized harmonies, N64 samples and tweaked Balinese gamelan mixed with his pixelated racetrack-styled melodies. With sights firmly set on new material for this year, there is simply no way for this guy to downshift!
