Australian soprano (b. Melbourne c.1924 - Father, Stanislaw de Tarczynska, had studied at the Warsaw Academy and after arriving in Australia Bec are leader of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. With this musical background she naturally had m music lessons from an early age and eventually sang on ABC radio. In 1947 had principal roles with the National Opera and was later in the cast of the JCW opera company for "I Pagliacci". In 1950 went to London where she broadcast on the BBC, toured for 3 months in the cast of Noel Coward's "After The Ball" (1954), and performed in "Le Comte Ory" at the Edinburgh & Glyndebourne Festivals (1954/55). Returned to Australia in 1955 where she gave concerts and made television appearances into the 1960s.
