Famous Cuban trumpeter, singer, and composer (1910 - 1982), he created Orquesta Casino De La Playa with Miguelito Valdés and other musicians. Brother of trumpeter, orchestra leader [a1216613] and trombonist Rafael de los Reyes. Father of Walfredo De Los Reyes III [[a552386]], and grandfather of Artist Walfredo De Los Reyes IV [[a392364]]. Named Walfredo de los Reyes Sr. during the period of time (1940s/1960s) when both him and Walfredo De Los Reyes III (then named Walfredo de los Reyes Jr) were active.
