Christian vocalist. During High School she was active in dramatic and musical productions. As a student at Butler University's Jordan School of Music she performed in light comic operas. In 1954 she attended the Christian liberal arts college Milligan College in Upper East Tennessee where she met her husband Jim Crouch. After graduation, they moved to Kentucky where her husband preached for two Christian congregations while pursuing his studies. During this time she taught school. In 1964 they accepted a position and served in the ministry of the German Christian Church in Tubingen, Germany. Upon her return to the United States in June of 1964 while visiting relatives, it was suggested that she record her exceptional voice and record some greatly loved Christian songs. b.
