Michael Matteo

Michael Matteo, also known as Neorev, is an electronic music producer based in New York. He first appeared back in 2003 on the BK Music One compilation "Brainkiller Presents Music From The Jilted Generation Volume 1" with the song "Crank This Shit Up." Throughout the years following, he released various tracks across the internet. Many of these tracks would be gathered together and released unofficially as "Traveling At A High Velocity On A Downward Trajectory." This is a collection of early demos and unfinished tracks that were recorded between 2002 and 2006. It wasn't until the summer of 2009, when Neorev released his debut album "Lines & Shapes," an homage to the early 90's warehouse rave scene. Packed with big beats and breaks aimed at the dancefloor. Tracks like "Oh No!," "Disco Bustin'," and "Rock The Beat" were released as supporting EPs featuring additional tracks, alternate takes, and remixes from fellow producers all across the globe. At the end of 2011, the follow up album "Children Of The Bomb" was released and would show Neorev adopting a much darker sound that was a cross between industrial, dubstep, and experimental. This album would also have its share of supporting EPs packed to the brim with additional material, alternate versions, and remixes. "Brooklyn Stomp," "Let's Get Down," "Wildfire," and "No Control" would end up being the lead tracks for these releases. At the end of 2013, Neorev released two standalone EPs titled "Make Your Body Sway" and "So Twisted," which showcased him collaborating with various vocalists from different styles of music. Throughout the years, Neorev's music has been featured on various compilations, terrestrial radio in the UK and Italy, as well as musical scores for film. He released his latest album "Disrupt The Scene" in the fall of 2015 and is currently working on its follow up for a late 2016/early 2017 release.
