Patti Walsh (2)

American singer. Patti attended Southern Illinois University 3 and a half years before beginning a singing career as Patti Walsh. She sang opera as a lyric soprano and lyric coloratura with a 3 1/2-octave voice. In 1966, she moved to Los Angeles, California. She was Cash Box's April 1966 West Coast Girl of the Week, and they predicted she'd "be cutting for a label within two or three weeks." In 1968, Patti changed her name to "Candy Graham" and had a release for UNI Records. Her record "Love Is" sold over 100,000 copies (under 'Patti Walsh'). Born Patricia Joan Walsh, Sept. 4, 1943, in Springfield, Illinois. Died April 6, 2004.
