Franco Volpi (July 11, 1921 Milan, Lombardy, Italy - January 1, 1997 Rome, Lazio, Italy) was an Italian actor. Actor capable of covering both brilliant and dramatic roles, protagonist of numerous comedies and television dramas, he is also remembered for having been the interpreter of a popular Carosello of a Martini & Rossi drink in the sixties, in which he appeared alongside Ernesto Calindri in humorous sketches with a post-Risorgimento flavor. In his plays he remembers the part of his husband in the debut of From Thursday to Thursday by Aldo De Benedetti, staged in 1959 at the Eliseo theater in Rome. His last film appearance was in 1991 in Johnny Stecchino by Roberto Benigni, in which he played the role of a cocaine addict minister.
