E.R. Thorpe
Настоящее имя: E.R. Thorpe
Об исполнителе:
E.R Thorpe is back in North Nottingham after a short relocation to Marlborough, Wiltshire. Was historically known as The Listeners (from Nottingham). She is finally committing to the fact it is just her, and her alone. Over the past ten years of writing and performing Thorpe has played with acts that span genres, including Junip (Jose Gonzalez), Caitlin Rose, Kelly Oliver, Amelia Curran, Kathryn Tickell, and Bing Ji Ling. She has also collaborated with Huw Costin of Torn Sail singing on 'Ricochets' alongside Mark Lanegan for their album This Sweet Short Life. Thorpe lends her vocals on Lunar Parks (Sam Hempton of Six by Six) latest material and also sung on her late father’s (acclaimed blues musician Kevin Thorpe) recorded work. Thorpe has shaped her own evocative sound, delivering pin-drop performances. Sometimes wilfully naive, sometimes considered and precise - her choice of chords is particular and unusual and her finger-picking weaves a strange atmosphere.
