Bus Stop Stallions

The Bus Stop Stallions from Austin, Texas, are a modern day version of the nine piece funk/soul/dance outfits from the 70's and 80's. They have been steadily building an audience in and around Austin with their brand of soul/rock ranging from "spacey jazz fusion" to "bubbly bass lines and a heavy dose of synthesized keys" Always involved in the Austin scene, they played the First Look Festival for the grand re-opening of Austin's beloved outdoor venue The Backyard; the Austin Convention Center during a Texas Lonestar Rollergirls bout; the Old Pecan Street Festival; Fox 7 TV's Good Day Austin morning show; The Austin Music Hall for the United Sounds of Austin; Kenny Dorham's Backyard for the Black Star Coop Brewery; and Scholz Garten for the Blues for Blue Skies benefit. They also frequently tour Texas including Houston, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, San Angelo, Dallas, Corpus Christi, Kerrville, and even as far as Marfa. They have completed two tours of the western states, where they played the Viper Room and the Mint in LA, The Stronghold in Venice, Winston's in San Diego, Mojito's, Union Room, Biscuits and Blues, and Kafe van Kleefe in the Bay Area, as well as venues in Temecula, Fresno, Sacramento, Eureka, Portland, Reno, and Pueblo.
