Jesús Ruiz, also known as Chúo Ruiz (b. San Juan de Los Morros, Guárico, March 2nd, 1961) Venezuelan musician, writer, composer, singer, arranger, producer, publicist, broadcaster. Although Ruiz got a grade as Urbanist from Universidad Simón Bolívar, he has dedicated his life to his passion, Music. Ruiz has gained reputation on the TV and Radio Industry as producer, composer, arranger and singer on jingles. In the 90's worked with Simon Diaz as part of the Simón Díaz' Team for the TV shows "Contesta por Tío Simón" and "Festichamo". In 1991 Ruiz had the honor to represent his motherland on the prestigious OTI Festival celebrated in México. For more a decade Ruiz was composer of uncountable songs for productions on venezuelan TV channel RCTV, even the saddly farewell theme, "Un Corazón que Grita", for the end of concesion dictamined for venezuelan Government. Ruiz has recorded several independent productions: "Ganando Cielo",[r11352076], "Llano y Profundo", "A Fin de Cuentas Vivir", "Lo Bailao" and "Chuíto Fullero". Actually Jesús Ruiz is living in Dominican Republic and he is very active on social networking where we can find some video clips whit his recently compositions.
