George H. Diamond

American entertainer, songwriter, and recording artist popular in the 1890s & 1900s. Born 1862 Buffalo, New York, USA. Died 1922 (aged 59–60) Lebanon, Pennsylvania, USA. Diamond was announced with much fanfare in 1893 as an important and expensive addition to the Columbia catalog. His recordings were premium priced. Whatever his accomplishments on the stage, however, his recording career was brief. He also recorded for Edison and the New Jersey Phonograph Co. at about the same time.
