Santiago Villalba

Argentinian composer, pianist and bass player born in 1982 in Buenos Aires. Degree in Composition and Conducting from the Catholic University Argentina. He agreed to Grant Melos / Gandini 2009 issued by the argentine composer Gerardo Gandini. He received the Prize Argentina Rostrum of Composers ( TRINAC 2011) for his work "Graffiti ", for ensemble. He received the 2nd Prize on the “Eight International Jurgenson Competition for Young Composers” for his work “Epífrasis”, for string trio. Selected to participate as a composer “Bicentennial Cycle” coordinated by the composer Juan Ortiz de Zárate through the creation of a chamber work. He participated as a composer in contemporary music festival "New Musics for the Memory", fourth edition, where his work for piano and percussion, "War of the Rats", was premiered. Participated as a composer in the "Prismas, Latin American Springs" premiering his work “Trío” at the music festival of the same name held in December of 2014 in Santiago de Chile, Chile.
