Mizar Caforio, born in 1979 in Taranto, has studied since the age of six with Silvano D'andria, at the moment studies in Rome with Serguej Diatcheko, conductor, violinist and teacher, Nina Beilina in NY. Between 1992 and 1995 he won eleven national and international competitions. In 1996 he has obtained the first prize at the European Competition "Citta di Barletta". He has given concerts in Italy and abroad: Munich (Germany), Leopolis (Ukrania). In Rome he has performed in important places: Palace Barberini, Palace Pamphili, Palace Baldini, Angelica Costantiniana Academy. He has played at the Palace Mansi in Lucca, during a concert dedicated to "Young talents of Europe in Tuscany". In 1995 and 1996 he has taken part in the International Festival "The Virtuosi" of Leopolis, performing as a soloist with the local Chamber Orchestra (Bach's Concert nr.2): in 1996, with the Symphony Orchestra of Leopolis, he performed the Mendelssohn's Concerto op. 64. Mizar Caforio has taken part in concerts and festivals with well known musicians: Yuri Bashmet, Anatole Liberman, Kostantin Bogino, F.M. Ormezowsky. Now he is working as a singer and songwriter. The "New Sound" is his invention.
