Spastic Ooze Monkey

Spastic Ooze Monkey was a one off joke/rock band by Edward J. Grug The III, Lee Hislop, Matt Langfield and Boris Otterdam. At the time in 2001/2002 3 of the 4 were sharing a house in Little Russell St. East Perth and the band came about from a desire to keep making music aside from their other band "Ape Shall Not Kill Ape" since they had a room full of instruments at their disposal every day. Every recording was spontaneous and recorded on the spot with a handful of songs being refined and rehearsed. A cassette was made and handed out to friends and sold in local record stores but nothing further than that. All 4 members who were then active cartoonists hand drew every cover of the self titled cassette. The band split in 2002 after they all moved out of the house they shared.
