Armada De Juguete
Настоящее имя: Armada De Juguete
Об исполнителе:
This is a group that started between skateboards, punk concerts and the street spark, that is, the Creole liveliness of spontaneous music that gives a special touch to their compositions. Except for a one year break in 2013, in which they recorded their album Fiesta Final, this guayaca band has not stopped playing since 2005. With a few demos under their arms, they left the stage for a moment, to continue the respite of making music for the people and for them. At the beginning, the ska music was the owner of the hobbies of the Toy Armada, but with experience, other rhythms such as reggae, punk and even some pop played the doors of their creativity. Then they left their own scheme and composed songs to which they added the corresponding pinch of these musical genres. In 1998, Guayaquil witnessed a new wave of neo punk under the name Unión Punk (the U.P). An idea with great acceptance by young people, which contributed to the growth of new audiences and spaces for this type of music. To this wave of concerts and festivals were joined garage bands such as G.O.E, Komo la Tusa, Agent 86, Marca Acme, 69 Seconds among other recognized names. "Oh, God, just thinking about it made my skin crawl," Julico adds, recalling the old concerts. Although the Navy arrived a little late to the boom, it could join this constant celebration of freedom and be part of it. At the moment the band this conformed by the guitar and voice of Julio Hurtado (Julico) - who also is one of the co-founders of the band and composes the majority of the letters, the addict to the punk and bassist Ángelo Zevallos (Angelost); Reggae fans Julio Peña, on the other guitar, and Alejo Auz, the most recent member, on drums. Finally, on the trombone is the ska fan Michael Wong. The popular themes of the Navy sound on almost all radio stations with youthful wave. The favorite songs of the followers are "Que buen trip" and "Sin Corona". They have played in all the alternative bars of Guayaquil, in large canchones and festivals in El Manso, and in November 2015, they went to Buenos Aires to promote their record in six radios, in the company of their friend, "almost brother" Luis Sigüenza, jazz saxophonist The Roots.
