Legat

(1869-1937) Part of a brother pair who were employed by the Marinsky Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia. The brother pair published a book entitled "Russian Ballet in Caricatures" circa 1903. Nikolaǐ was a ballet master for the Marinsky Ballet during the late 1800's and his brother Sergieǐ Gustavovich Legat (1875-1905) was a dancer in the company. Nikolaǐ, together with his brother Sergieǐ, is often credited for ballet caricatures simply listed as "Legat" taken from their book.
