Jeter Thompson

American jazz piano player from St. Louis, Missouri (March 16, 1930 – December 1, 2017). Started playing piano at five, made his first professional appearance at 16 performing with saxophonist Emmett Carter. Founded [a1433721] jazz combo in 1959, with whom he opened the Trés Bien Club in 1963. After QTB dissolved in 1973 he worked as a cartographer for U.S. Defense Mapping Agency and as a real estate agent until forming Trio Tres Bien with his brothers Harold Thompson (bass) and Howard Thompson (drums).
