American publicist and PR agent. Influential figure, active since the 1960s, who has helped to develop the career of many actors and music stars, including Michael Jackson, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Barry White, Smokey Robinson, George Michael, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, AC/DC, Queen, Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Tony Curtis, Sophia Loren and Joan Collins. He worked for Liberty, CBS/Columbia and Universal/MCA Records, before opened his own PR/marketing firm, Norman Winter / Associates.
