Arius (7)

Originally known as Eviscerate, they started as a typical gore/death type band but subsequently changed its name to Arius, to reflect the more philosophical nature of the lyrics. The name ARIUS came from a Roman diplomat whose name was Arius. He was the first Roman to deny the divinity of Christ, and this was a principal reason he was crucified. The band planned to record a full length album "Mask of Sanity", but that never happened.
