BVG-Orchester

German orchestra of the Berlin public transport company BVG and older than the BVG itself. A smaller music group, consisting of tram company employees, has existed since 1890. The actual founding of the orchestra took place in 1902, the same year in which the first subway route in Berlin was opened.
