Marfa, Texas artist/photographer and daughter of Joe Ely. Marie, Joe Ely’s only child, is a photographer. Born and raised in Texas, she followed in her father’s footsteps by traveling across the country and living in Europe, but after attending San Francisco Art Institute, it was Texas...West Texas to be exact...where Marie found the most inspiration and moved to Marfa for her self imposed artist in residency
