Guitarist, saxophonist and bassist. Played with The Latin Knights and The Charades from 1963-1973. He was born in Brawly, California in 1944. He moved with his family to Visalia, California in the 1950’s and graduated from Redwood High School. In 1963, he joined The Charades. For a short period of time in the late 1960s, he joined The Rhythm Kings (see Rhythm Kings (5)). He later re-joined The Charades and played with them until 1973. In later years he became a union organizer, and had a career in state service, where he worked with the Agricultural Labor Relations Board. He was a regional director for the California Conservation Corps. He also worked with the voter registration and outreach program of the California Secretary of State’s office. He retired in 2006. Having earned a B.A. degree in political science in 1968 from California State University, Fresno, and a master’s degree in history in 1990, he also taught history classes at College of the Sequoias in Visalia. His composition "Christina" was written for his wife Christina. It appears as the B side of "Sophia", which was released on Anthony J. Hilder's Impact (see Impact (12)) record label. It also appears on the Al Garcia & the Rhythm Kings album, . released on Bacchus Archives in 1999. He died in 2008.
