Larry Russell

American composer. Born October 14, 1913 in Indiana Died February 14, 1954 in Los Angeles, California. He was married to one of his co-songwriters [a665063]. He was one of three writers of the song "Vaya Con Dios" (the others were [a665063] and Buddy Pepper), which has been recorded over 500 times. He charted in the U.S. 5 times with "Vaya Con Dios". Les Paul & Mary Ford hit #1 in the U.S. with their version of "Maya Con Dios" in 1953.
