Leo Boni

Leo Boni (17 March 1965-15 April 2022) was an Italian-American singer and guitarist. Following many years of action in the northwest of the United States, he was rewarded for his work with the “Weepin’ Willie All-Star” as the greatest Boston blues band. Leo was a former member of Maurizio Geri Swingtet, the only Italian Ensemble that performed on the Django Reinhardt Festival main stage in Samois Sur Seine in 2000. He collaborated with several artists including Sax Gordon Beadle, Maurizio Geri, Sharon Lewis, Stochelo Rosemberg, Dorado Shmitt, etc. Leo Boni performed at numerous festivals including Summertime Blues Festival, Folkfest, Festival de Jazz Django Reinhardt, Magic Blues Fest Vallemaggia, et al. The famous singer and guitarist, Leo Boni died in his sleep on Friday, April 15, 2022, at age 57 in Florence. His death was announced by Valentina Vignelli on Facebook.
