Samuel F'Hima

Born on December 14, 1992, Samuel begins the double bass at the age of 6 at the Noisy-le-Grand Conservatory (93). He was quickly introduced to classical music as well as contemporary music. After 2 years of practice, he joined the string orchestra conducted by Éric Delabre, the director of the conservatory. At the age of 13, he began jazz with the conservatory’s jazz workshop. In September 2010, he fully integrated the CRR d'Aubervilliers. In June 2011, he obtained his DEM and his cycle II. Scott LaFaro, Ron Carter, Dave Holland or Avishai Cohen are his great influences in jazz double bass. But in other styles, bands and musicians like the Brecker Brothers, Jeff Beck, Prince or even Rage Against the Machine have greatly developed his musical culture. This eclectic side also led him to play electric bass, where he discovered Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke and Marcus Miller, although the double bass remains his favorite instrument. In 2011 he joined «Hands quartet» which became Fred Perreard Trio in 2012.
