Belva Spiel is a Canadian soprano. Born in Winnipeg in 1951. She graduated of the University of Toronto Faculty of Music and then came second at the Metropolitan Opera District Auditions held in 1976. Shen commenced studying with Bernard Diamant in Toronto. She has sung with the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Canadian Opera Company, the Oshawa Symphony and many other companies.
