Masengo Katiti Edouard Et Le Groupe "Je. Co. Ke."

Group formed by Masengo Edouard in 1950. The group was a comedic troop of Kenyan young people. The JECOKE troop went on tour through Kenya, Uganda, Congo Brazzaville, Belgian Congo, and Cameroon. They were known to perform a dance called "kalinchelincheli dance". A music contest was organized in Leopoldville in 1956. They won the contest and beat out famous local artists such as Wendo Kolosoy, Grand Kalle and Franco.
