Gene Widhoff

American illustrator (b. January 14, 1907 New York, NY – d. April 21, 1972 in Los Angeles, CA) In the 1930s, Widhoff worked as a staff artist for RKO Pictures, creating movie posters and theater lobby cards. In the mid-1940s, he created album covers for the short-lived Ara (2) label. In the late 1960s and early 1970s he worked as a staff artist for NBC, creating court room sketches for contemporary trials, including those of Charles Manson and Sirhan Sirhan, and serving as an occasional extra on television shows.
