Per CMJ monthly: "The psychedelic tradition spawns the Cretins, of Port Arthur, Texas. 'Little Mr. No One' (from their debut cassette) sounds like a good night of tequila swillin' — lots of echo, spacey leads laced with phase/wah-wah, and vocals drifting atop their rhythm guitar licks. The Cretins know their genre, citing Hendrix, Ringo and R.E.M. as influences, and if it was 20 years ago, you might take these guys for the Airplane."
