Erik Budde-Vocals Jerry Ferguson- Bass Richard A Johnson- Drums Jimmy Hall (3)- Guitar Heavy sludge/Hardcore band that came to prominence in Atlanta during years 1997-2000. The band portrayed an apocalyptic vision of a final collapse of society due to Government & religious dictatorships while using images to convey this sentiment such as the self titled lp cover & show flyers. The self titled album was in direct conflict with the "metal of the day" "Nu metal" was in, rap & baggy pants were the rule. Bible Belt Byproduct flew in direct opposition to this. Merging ultra slow doom metal riffs with Hardcore punk breakouts exposed band influences from Black sabbath to Discharge. Forerunners in this type of metal prove to garner the band attention, growing crowds, & leading to talks with various high profile managers in Los Angeles & New York. The band enjoyed enthusiastic fans at headline shows & continued playing alongside bands such as Mifits, Clutch, Crowbar, EYEHATEGOD, Obituary, Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, Six feet under, & Corrosion of conformity All the while drawing high praise from bands & managers (including Tom Araya of Slayer) The group disbanded during pre production for 2nd lp. Jimmy Hall(3) went onto form ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER.
