The Talan Quartet

Russian String Quartet Initiated in February 1991 by the brothers Vladimir and Alexander Talanov. The Quartet consists of the two brothers, their friend and collaborator from the beginning Olga Bulakova (viola) and the talented young cellist Alexei Steblov. All four graduated from the Gnesin Music Institute and Moscow Conservatory and share a serious interest in the subtleties of chamber music performance. The Talan Quartet has toured successfully throughout Russia and abroad. It has participated in various competitions and was awarded a diploma at the St. Petersburg International String Quartet Competition in September 1993.
