ILL JAY PHOX is a producer, DJ and event facilitator currently based in Cairns, Australia. An avid long-time record collector and music fiend, his compositions combine Hip Hop, Jazz, Fusion, Dub and Electronic influences into his signature brand of beats. His music aims to provoke emotions, providing a soundtrack to the listener personal life journey. Live sets boasting turntablism elements, seasoned with live effects, have become a trademark, allowing ILL JAY to reinterpret his works with every performance. A discography including two vinyl releases under his monikers Jimmy Flipshyt and DJ Dex Mo forms the foundation for this latest incarnation, paving the way for a new, contemporary sound.
