Mighty Popo

Jaques Murigande, known to his music fans as "Mighty Popo", is a Rwandan musician and educator, who was born in a Burundian refugee community. In addition to his love of the traditional music of Rwanda and Burundi, he also has a lifelong connection with Rock & Roll, Blues, Jazz, R&B, Reggae and folk music. Popo recently launched Rwanda's first-ever public music school to empower young Rwandan musicians to develop their musical and professional skills. (Source: booklet information of [r10246213])
