Smash Pattern

Smash Pattern were a short lived U.S. punk band from the North Shore, near Boston, MA. [a777670] formed the band, Smash Pattern with future Moving Targets' member Chuck Freeman on drums and his childhood friend Scott "Howie" Towne on bass. Smash Pattern were together for a year (1984) after the first Targets' break-up in late 1983. During 1984 Smash Pattern played a number of songs in the basement of Scott Towne's family home. They did a handful of shows but the lure of the Targets was too great and Chambers left to rejoin the Moving Targets in the summer of 1985. Chuck and Kenny reunited two years later when he joined the Targets on bass and Scott went on to a career with the FBI.
