Epic Tantrum

The band EPIC TANTRUM is an Eclectic Prog band that was founded in 2007 in Syracuse, New York by friends Peter and Paul. They began as a duo recording classical guitar pieces. They enjoyed working together so much that they began to compose original material inspired by the music of Walter BECKER and Donald FAGEN, both of STEELY DAN. In 2011, they were joined by the drummer known simply as Z. The three of them recorded two demos ("31st" and "Mary"). In 2016, bassist Greg became a permanent member and as a quartet, they began touring and opening for bands (including KINGS X) and they also started working seriously on their debut album "Abandoned in the Stranger's Room" which was released in January of 2020. Their music has been described as heavy rock with a lot of jazz influences added in to create an interesting mix that lies comfortable in the Eclectic Prog sub-genre because of its combination of styles that gel together perfectly. The current line up consists of Peter LaVINE (vocals, guitar), Paul (vocals, guitar), Greg ROSS (bass, vocals) and Z (drums).
