Eve and I

Pensacola area (Gulf Breeze) band formed by Shane Langseth and Fred Touchette in the early 90's leaning towards heavy progressive math-rock. In 1994, Michael McGivaren was brought on as the new drummer, Craig Wilson added as second guitarist, and Fred Touchette added lead vocals to his bass duties. This morphed the 4-piece band into the post-hardcore, emo, alternative rock genres specifically in the shorting of songs and greater focus on melody, hooks, and emotive lyrics. Eve and I were often sought after as opening acts for national touring bands including Helmet, Sugartooth, Samaim, Jawbox, & Seaweed. Massive local success, radio airplay, and label interest swarmed in 1995 but the band internally combusted in 1997.
