Yun Young Ah

Yun Young Ah (윤영아) born November 13, 1972, is a South Korean singer, who rose to fame in the early 90s with the song 미니 데이트 (Minidate), which is her most popular song up to date. Her well known song "Minidate" is a cover from a Taiwanese movie soundtrack called “Wolf 7” in the late 80s. The song was originally recorded in Mandarin by Jin Yulan, then a Korean version was recorded by Seoul Family in 1989. After winning the Grand Prize in the 1990 KBS Youth Creative Song Festival for her song "오선지에 그리는 슬픔", Minidate was presented to her and was recorded for her debut album in 1991, along with 2 other tracks from the Wolf 7 soundtrack. Following the success of her first album, Young Ah released the albums “Out Door” (1993) and “A Sexy Glance” (1995). After taking a break from releasing new music, Young Ah recorded a trot album called “First Single”, released in 2006. It received promotion until 2008, The album includes a new version of Minidate, in a Latin Trot music style. In 2020, Young Ah appeared on the show "Sing Again" in South Korea as contestant #50. New singles were released such as Minidate 2021, Baby Baby, and Magic Woman.
